A Declaration by William BUSSELL of Hawkins County, Tennessee in Open Court on the fourth day of October 1833. He asked for a pension for his services in the Revolutionary War:
He claimed he was 74 years old and was born in Prince William County, Virginia, in the year 1759 and that, on the first day of May 1780, he was drafted iinto the service and did military duty for his country in the Revolutionary War. He gives a long and detailed account of his service, mentioning the various tours he went on with his Company, giving the names of the officers under whom he served.
Also found (among these records) a declaration by his wife, Sarah, dated June 17th, 1843, asking for his pension, she being the widow of William BUSSELL. She stated they were married in the month of January 1790. A marriage license form was in the papers. It was issued by Governor Beverly Randolph of Virginia on January 21st 1790 for fifty Pounds Current Money of Virginia, same being paid by James WIATT and William BUSSELL for marriage of William BUSSELL and Sarah WIATT.
He died October 13, 1841.

OBIT - 1949
Sam Ingle Succumbs After Heart Attack
Funeral services for the late Sam Ingle of Milton were held Wednesday afternoon at the Milton Christian Church at 2pm with Rev. Russell Myers and Fred Greene officiating. Interment was in the Walla Walla IOOF Cemetery.
Samuel Perry Ingle was born April 15th, 1885 to William Perry and Laurah Melvin Ingle on the old Ingle Homestead on the Oregon side of State Line; the family having crossed the plains by wagon train from Iowa in 1861, when his father was but a year old.
On the 6th of January 1909 he was united in marriage to Miss Iva Mae Clark of Walla Walla, WA. He and his bride became members of the local Christian Church where he held his membership until the time of his death.
He has been engaged in farming here all his life - only about 2-1/2 years ago did he and his wife purchase a home in Milton, but she was failing in health at the time and passed away January 15, 1948, following an extended illness. He sold that home and built a new home at 507 Mill Street and on December 1, 1948, he married Edith L. Edwards.
Death came very suddenly to Mr. Ingle, following a heart attack suffered at the old home place on the Walla Walla River southeast of town, Sunday, October 30, 1949, at about 3 pm.
Surviving are his widow, Edith Ingle; his daughters by his former marriage, Mrs. Maxine Luke and Mrs. Margaret Ingle Kutch, all of Milton; his grandchildren, Larry Melvin; Linda Kay and Billie Ann Luke and Iva Darlene Kutch, all of Milton. A brother, Lloyd Ingle of Fresno, CA, also survives.
At the time of his death Mr. Ingle was vice-president of the Three Flags Highway Commission; County Commissioner of Umatilla County; vice president of the board of directors of the Twin City Oil and Gas Company, and Vice president of the board of directors of the Milton Elevator Company.
He was a public spirited man always interest in the improvement o his community and the community he served suffers a distinct loss as a result of his passing.

I found your website, and it is Wonderful! I was searching for more information on Cecil Roselvo Bussell, and was reaching a dead end when I found your site! I am really excited.
I, also have some information for you about Cecil Roselvo Bussell:
He had a first wife and child:
Jessie (or Jesse) Reed was his first wife. They had a son who is my Grandfather: Cecil Max Bussell. Jessie remarried L.M. Montgomery and went on to have other children. My Grandpa Max (Cecil Max) hated the last name Bussell because the kids called him "Bustle," so he changed his lastname to match is half-brothers and sisters last name of Montgomery.
I knew he had a second wife named Hazel, but I did not know her Maiden Name. My mother is sending me a letter she has that gives much of this information.
Cecil Roselvo Bussell entered the military on Oct 22, 1918 and died of "pneumonia" on Nov 6, 1918 at the age of 22.
