Cizerine Wright
Cizerine Megy Wright of 324 E. Third in Kennewick, formerly of this area died Friday at her home. She was 69.
born Sept 4, 1898 in Courtland, Ohio, she moved with her family to Milton-Freewater in 1900. She was educated at Fruitvale School. In 1920 she was married to Frank Wright and they moved to Yreka, Calif. Eight years later they returned to Walla Walla in 1928, and then farmed near Kennewick until he died in 1945. Since then Mrs. Wright had worked as a cook for the Kennewick Public Schools and the Kennewick General hospital. She also did home nursing in that area.
Mrs. Wright was a member of the Kennewick Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors, Rebeccas, Eastern Star, Amaranth and the Kennewick Garden Club.
Surviving her is a son, Lewis Franklin Wright of Turlock, Calif., her sisters, Mrs. Olive Hamilton of Lolo, Mont., and Mrs. Bob (Alberta) Gee of Clarkston, Wash; her brothers, Lewis A. Megy and Lehman C. Megy both of Milton-Freewater, and three granddaughters.
The funeral will be in Kennewick.

Death Takes F. A. Wright
KENNEWICK -- Frank Allen Wright died at the hospital in Pasco, Tuesday afternoon, following a stroke at his home Sunday. Born in Cove, Ore., February 4, 1895, he made his home in California until 1919 when he came to the Walla Walla Valley. Here he met Miss Cizerine Megy and they were married in Oakland, Calif., October 29, 1921. For eight years they made their home in Ukiah, Calif., then moved back to Walla Walla where their only son Louis Franklin Wright was born. In a few years they moved to Kennewick and engaged in farming in East Kennewick for 12 years. Two years ago they moved to 423, 3 rd Ave., and since that time Wright had been employed at the local Pacific Power and Light plant. Wright was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Walla Walla. He is survived by his widow, Cizerine and son Louis Franklin at the home, one brother, Robert Wright of Ukiah, Calif., and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.

JEANNE MEGY
Former Milton-Freewater resident Jeanne Clarice Taylor Megy, 90, of 1460 Dales Military Road, No. 118, died Oct. 30, 2007, at her home.
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Friday at Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St., Milton-Freewater. A memorial service will be 1 pm, Saturday, at the First Christian Church in Milton-Freewater, with the Rev. Kent Mayberry of New Hope Christian Church officiating. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Breadbasket Food Bank of Milton-Freewater through the funeral home.
Mrs. Megy was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Clarkston, Wash., to Lyle C. and Ethel Bonner Taylor. She graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1935. She married Lehman "Buzz" Megy on Oct. 28, 1935. They bought the family farm in the Fruitvale area of M-F in 1951 and Mrs. Megy began her legacy of family, food, faith and fun.
Mr. Megy died June 25, 2007.
For her children and grandchildren, she will be remembered for many things, including countless Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners cooked on the woodstove and her homemade ice cream.
While her dinner table was the center of many family activities, Mrs. Megy's love of holidays saw a home filled with delights, including pumpkins, leprechauns, Easter eggs and Christmas decorations. Her No.1 priority was family.
She was involved with countless community activities, including sewing costumes for plays at Fruitvale School while her children were students and 4-H. She was a member of the Rod and Gun Club, Golden Agers, Good Sams and worked with the Home Extension Agency and was named Home Extension Woman of the Year. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Milton-Freewater, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She enjoyed time in the mountains hunting and fishing with her husband and other family members. She was an expert markswoman and would often come home with a deer, elk or a fat fish.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Gene Mayberry of College Place and Bonnie and Chuck Miller of Hermiston; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Donna Megy of Richland and Rich and Carol Megy of Gresham, OR; 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
