History of Montgomery Co. page 364: "In the year 12829 a settlement was made in the soutwest corner of the township by immigrants from the South, among who can be named Isaac Bailey, James Crawford, Thomas Williams and Zebedee Williams".

George Baker applied to the Court for letters of Administration regarding estate of Thomas Williams who died on or about the 25 th day of Jan. 1858, leaving no will or testament. His estate was valued about twenty-two hundred and fifty dollars. George Baker bonded at $4500.00

April term AD1863 (Thursday 23)

Court ordered one-third about $506.94 be retained in hands of administrator till the next term and that the sum of one thousand dallars be distributed to the heirs of said Thomas Williams....eight in number, in equal shares as follows:

To the children of Susannah Pitchford, dec........one share of $125.00
